Church of God Transfiguration  It is one of holiest churches in Lvov . It was built in 1363 by architect Gavrishkevichem. The iconostasis and interior are representing Ukrainian traditions. Opened for the visit.
Sv. Jura cathedral  It is one of the main holy sanctuaries of Ukrainian Greco- Catholic cathedral. A according to legend, it was founded in 1700 y. The first temple on Svyatoyurskeye Mountain was existed at times of Galitsko-Volyn power. The most valuable and most famous icon of temple this is the Terebovlyans'kaya icon of the God mother XVII century. Opened for the visit .
Church Marya Magdalena  The church was built in 1600 instead of old one. In the second-half the XVII cent. Church Marya Magdalena greatly suffered in the fire. Restoration works were completed only in 1754. After several reconstructions the church acquired Northeuropean style. In 1960 the church was re-equipped as the house of Organ music of Lvov conservatory by M. Lusenka.
The Uspenski cathedral It was built in 1363 in the traditional Armenian style. Cathedral, was performed the role of administrative centre for Ukraine and central Europe . During the war cathedral practically did not suffer. In the Soviet time it was used as storage for unique Ukrainian icons. In December 2002 the temple was transmitted to Armenian apostolic church. It is opened for the visit. |
