The museum was inaugurated in 1991 in a building, constructed after M. Gardenin's design in the 18th century. M.Bulgakov, the writer of a worldwide famous novel “Master and Margarita” lived in this house in 1906-1919. Here, Bulgakov "settled" the characters of his novel "The White Guard" and his play "Days of Turbins". The museum displays the tools and clothes of writer.
