National Fine Arts Museum
Hrushevskoho 6. Open from 10am to 5pm except Mon The museum was built in 1900 in a Greek Doric style. It has a huge collection of icons of 12-18 century, paintings and sculpture of Ukrainian masters of 19-20 century.

The Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko Museum
(formerly Museum of Western and Oriental Art) Tereshchenkivska 15/17 Open from 10am to 5 pm except Mon and Tue Houses the Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko collection dating to 1870's containing such chefs d'oeuvre as Bellini's "Madonna with Child" and Velasques' " Portrait of Infanta Margarita", Perugino, Rubens, Goya, Weenix, Tiepolo and a huge Oriental collection.
Taras Shevchenko National Museum
bul. T. Shevchenka 12 Open from 10am to 5 pm except Mon A collection of 4,000 items displayed in 24 halls of Shevchenko's manuscripts, first editions, rare photographs, personal items, his autographs and paintings. Constantly changing exhibits.
Museum of Ukrainian literature. Wax figures
